Sienna Saltwater
A former trapeze artist's beloved pet clown-fish, who wished for nothing more than to take her owner's place after they passed away and carry on their legacy.
They had been inseparable, practically attached at the hip. The trapeze artist often brought her to every show, seating her in the very front row. She even had her own tiny bowl and a custom-made seat prepared just for her. No one could understand why the fellow performers were so attached to a fish, but to them, she was family.
Every day before and after each performance, the trapeze artist would talk to her. Her eyes would sparkle with excitement as she watched the performers soar through the air, listened to the audience's laughter, admired their smiling faces, and reveled in the thunderous applause and cries for an encore.
Over time, however, the crowds began to thin as the trapeze artist's health steadily declined. On their deathbed, with their beloved clown-fish resting faithfully at their side, she wished for only one thing: to become human so she could keep their memory—and their legacy—alive.
